Captive Coaching & Empowerment LLC ("Captive Coaching," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use captivecoachingandempowerment.com and our related services (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you apply for coaching, contact us, join our email list, register for a workshop, nominate an organization, join a waitlist or create a client portal account, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and any details you include in your message.
- Payment information. Memberships and purchases are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive limited information such as the status of a payment and the last four digits of a card.
- Account and course activity. If you use the client portal, we store your account details, course enrollment, progress and any responses or workbook entries you save.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as device type, browser and general usage, through cookies and similar technologies, to keep the site working and understand how it is used.
How we use your information
- To provide and deliver the Services you request, including coaching, courses, workshops and the membership.
- To respond to your messages, applications and requests.
- To process payments and manage your membership or purchases.
- To send you emails you have asked for, such as our newsletter or waitlist updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Services and only as needed for them to perform their work. These currently include:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Mailchimp for our email list.
- Supabase for secure data storage and the client portal.
- Vimeo and Embody Her for embedded video and related content.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Captive Coaching, our clients or others.
Coaching is confidential and is not therapy
We treat what you share in coaching as confidential and handle it with care. Coaching is a personal-development service. It is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or crisis support and this Privacy Policy does not create the protections of a medical or therapeutic relationship. If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and remember your preferences. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Some features may not work properly without them.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.
